About Guru Brahmanand Ji

Autobiography of Guru Brahmanand Ji

Guru Brahmanand Ji was born on 24th December 1908 in Chuharmajra village, District Kaithal, Haryana, to Mother Rami Devi and Father Badama Ram. His childhood name was Chhotaram. Guru Ji lost his mother at the tender age of nine, and by the age of eleven, he had also lost his father. Even as a child, Guru Ji displayed divine qualities — he often played the role of Lord Krishna and tended to cows with great devotion.

At the age of twelve, he left home in search of true knowledge and joined a Gurukul, where he deeply studied Sanskrit and Vedic scriptures. His sharp intellect and pure character left a lasting impression on his teacher, Swami Bhishma Ji, who bestowed upon him the name Satyadev.

Continuing his spiritual journey, Guru Ji undertook intense penance in the sacred forests of Sapt Sarovar, near Haridwar.

There, during deep meditation, as he contemplated leaving his mortal body, three divine goddesses appeared before him. They blessed him with the Pancharanga Flag and entrusted him with a divine mission — to dedicate his life to the service and upliftment of humanity and the preservation of Vedic Dharma. Guru Ji devoted his life to serving humanity, empowering women with Vedic knowledge, and guiding spiritual growth. On 16th May 1973, he left his body at Fatehpur Ashram and merged with Brahman.
